Race Report – New Series Details

Race Report

So last week was the start of a new series on the S2 Forums where we are racing on Forza Motorsport 6 and we are racing the touring cars around various tracks. Due to EGX I missed the first 2 races of the series but I was back this Sunday just gone to start stamping my mark on the series. This blog is just to give you details about the series as a whole so my Race Reports make a little more sense when you are reading.

Series Layout

The series is broken down as the following, each race day has 2 races to it, a sprint race and an endurance race. The sprint race is on a short track and around 10 laps in duration, a quick race to warm up to the endurance race and to organise the grid, the grid for the sprint race is random. The endurance race is around an hours racing and the grid is the reverse order that the sprint race finished in. So if you finish race 1 in 1st you will be 24th (depending on lobby size) in race 2, this would also normally be in simulation so we would have, damage, tyre wear and fuel to contend with however this is down to Stella if he turns this on or no due to the nature of some of the tracks.

Cars and Teams

For this series we can use any of the BTCC cars which are the following:

2014 Audi #67 Rotek Racing S3 Saloon
2014 BMW #5 EBAY Motors 125i M Sport
2014 Honda #5 Zengo Motorsport Civic WTCC or 2014 #2 Castrol Honda Civic WTCC
2014 Toyota #20 United Auto Sports Avensis or 2014 Toyoya #11 Handy Motorsport Avensis or 2014 #80 Speedworks Motorsport Avensis
2014 Mercedes Benz #33 WIX Racing A-Class
All the cars have been slightly modified so if you want to try them for yourself check out the build here, you might need to sign up for an account.
Each team can have up to 3 people in there team but they all must be in the same car. My team of this series is Los Pollos Hermanos Racing with two new comers to the forum who are Nismosteve and MYSTERIOUS GLOVE. I managed to twist Stuzibs arm and he did us a fantastic paint for this series.
Los Pollos Hereinos
Points
Each driver can score points for each race starting at 50 for 1st and scoring all the way down to 15th place, each driver is added to the Championship table which is individual and the two highest scoring members of each team can score points towards there team score, this is to make it fair for any team that only had 2 drivers in it. There are also privateer table for anyone who isnt in a team.
With that said lets get on to the racing.
